Rodney Brush of Michigan and his guide Smokey, show off this amazing grizzly taken on Rodney’s first day of his hunt, Sept. 2004

Our Grizzly harvest is on a very strict quota which has ensured us 100% success since we began guiding this area. The grizzly bears do very well and grow to an impressive size. The reason for their large numbers and size is the long growing season and the abundance of berries and spawning salmon. Both archery and rifle hunters have obtained Boone & Crocket and Pope & Young record book trophies. We only use the most experienced guides that truly know and respect the animal. A grizzly hunt is for the most courageous among us. Hunters should be in good shape as they’ll be hunting avalanche shutes and rough mountaineous terrain where the big grizzlies live.

Hunters will start their day from the Horsey Creek Lodge, traveling via truck, quad or river boat to the hunting area where they will then continue on foot to our favorite hunting spots. Occassionally an vernight stay on the mountain is required. After a hard days climb, hunters will return to the base camp for delicious meals and an inviting hot tub.

Grizzly hunters may also hunt one black bear and wolves at no additional charge. A second black bear is optional with an additional fee.
