Black bear hunting in British Columbia Canada with McKenzie Brothers
Outfitting offering guided black bear hunts in BC, bow hunting and
rifle bear hunts available.
Our Black Bear hunting area is based
near McBride, British Columbia and located adjacent to a national
park and two provincial parks. We
are overrun with Black Bears and some real monsters are available
to the serious Trophy Hunter. The Fraser River runs through the
centre of our area providing a very strong Salmon Run in early September
attracting and maintaining an abundant bear population. This hunt
has a two bear limit. Make no mistake about it, we have Boone &
Crockett Blackies. Our Black Bear success rate is above 160%.

Ryan
Berg 2002
Black Bear, 19 3/8" 7 1/2 ft hide
|
"My
wife and I arrived to the recommended motel and were pleased
with the arrangements. Drove to camp the next day and was
given the "Bridal Sweet". We were extremely pleased
with it. Double showers were being finished up and there were
two full kitchens one for breakfast and another for lunch
and Dinner.
My guide was Bob Weeks and he was the finest guide I have
ever had. We took a large Black Bear on the 3rd day that scored
19 3/8 inches and had a 7 1/2 foot hide when squared. We hunted
the last days and spotted some smaller bears that I passed
on and on the final night we made a stalk on two more large
bears but ran out of light. The hunt was a great one and I
am hoping to take part in one of Bruce's Mountain Goat hunts
after I get a knee healed from surgery."

Joel Love -
Byron Center, MI
May 2006 was my first hunt with McKenzie Brother Outfitting.
Next May 2007 will be my second. This group is a first class
operation. Knowledgeable, experienced folks from Bruce McKenzie,
the guides right down to the cook(s). The area supports an abundant
number of quality black bears, grizzly and an occasional color
phase.
The accommodations are clean and comfortable and the areas to
hunt are for the most part easy access. Not to say we did have
to do some climbing but nothing too extreme. I talked to Smokey,
my guide from last season yesterday to inquire about a couple
of bears he and I stalked last spring, they're still around
so that's why I'm going back. Another "reference"
on their web site list, Rod Brush is a great friend of mine
who actually talked me into going. I believe Rod has hunted
with Bruce and the gang on 7 or 8 occasions and never been disappointed.
A few years back, he took a beautiful Griz, that currently ranks
60th in the world as well as several other trophies.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to email
me or I can be reached by cell at 616-437-1958.
I would definitely recommend giving them a try. Joel Love |
